Closure Notices
Scanlon Creek Bark Park closed for maintenance
The Scanlon Creek Bark Park will be closed from May 6th until May 17th for natural grounds regeneration & annual maintenance. We’ll post an update here as soon as we reopen. Thanks for your patience & understanding.
Scanlon Creek Conservation Area - Evergreen Trail, Section Closed
A section of the Evergreen trail has been temporarily closed until further notice due to trail and infrastructure hazards. The large bridge along this section has been closed, cutting off access to this trail section. The status of this bridge and this trail connection will be reviewed in the coming months, and a final decision will be made. Please avoid the south-west corner of the Evergreen trail within Scanlon Creek and instead use the Chickadee Trail as a connector trail for this section.
About Scanlon Creek
Scanlon Creek Conservation Area is a hikers’ haven, a picnicking paradise, a birder’s delight and a photographer’s dream. Explore forests, marshlands, and glacial erratics, enjoy spring wildflowers, or the vibrant fall leaves and see plenty of birds and other wildlife as you hike the expansive trail system covering most of the 300 hectare park.
Serving both environmental and recreational needs, the park is a nature preserve for flora and fauna and home to a Bark Park for our canine friends.
