Whitchurch Conservation Area

Welcome to Whitchurch Conservation Area! Please follow all park rules during your visit.

Free Parking extended

Great News! We’re extending free parking at all of our Conservation Areas. In lieu of parking fees, we're asking park goers to try our TipTap fundraiser when they visit Scanlon CreekThornton BalesRogers Reservoir, and Beaver River Wetlands Conservation Areas. TipTap Pay is an easy way to give $5, $10 or $20 to help us care for and improve our Conservation Areas. When you see this sign along the trails, be sure to tap your phone or card - it's a simple way to donate and help care for our greenspace. Donations go directly to the Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation. Thank you for donating to a healthier Lake Simcoe watershed.

About Whitchurch

Whitchurch Conservation Area is an 11 hectare, mainly wooded property, located in the Township of Whitchurch-Stouffville, and sits on the northern edge of the Oak Ridges Moraine. It was reforested in the late 1960’s which today provides lots of shade as the plantation has matured, and new successional forest growth has successfully occurred.

Whitchurch Conservation Area is adjacent to the Robinson Tract of the York Region Forest, and is connected by trails. This property contains a relatively rich collection of bird species, as well as a variety of ecological communities. Also containing a small pond, this property can be noisy with the calling of frogs in the springtime. With rustic trails crossing the property, this is a great place to take the family for a hike!
