We own or manage 24 conservation areas. The majority of the properties are open for you to explore. The remaining are protected areas for the preservation of nature and our water resources.

Mobile Maps

Smartphone maps are now available for Durham Regional Forest and Scanlon Creek Conservation Area (with more mobile maps coming soon!)

Simply download the app on your smartphone and use it when you v​isit. It’s that easy! Once the map is downloaded, you won’t have to use your data when you hit the trails.

How to Use Avenza

  1. Download the Avenza app on your mobile phone​.
  2. Create an account  (or click the small white x in the top right corner to skip this step!)​
  3. Tap the store button.
  4. Click the “Find Maps" search bar. Search for LSRCA and select the map.
  5. Click install.
  6. Go to My Maps.
  7. Select your map and hit the trails. Once you install your map, you no longer need access to data.
