You’re a muck farmer, what’s your soil worth to your operations?
Everything.
Discover the cover and protect your soil from blowing or eroding away.
If you’ve never grown a cover crop before, try it this year. You’ve seen farmers around you like Ted Mendrek or
Kyle Horlings do this successfully, here is your chance.
We’ll help you with your winter cover crops by
funding your seed at 100%. Which seed? It’s your choice: Tillage/Oilseed Radish, Barley, Red clover, Sorghum and many others. Pick what will work best for your farm.
Some popular options in the marsh include:
Tillage Radish – quick growing to keep that soil on your land. Deep roots aerate soil. Dies over winter so nothing to mess with in the spring.
Barley – fibrous root system binds soil, quick to establish in late summer. Consider interseeding this one between onions and carrots in the spring too!
Rye – overwinters very well, binds soil well, inexpensive.
