​The Restoration Team at the Authority is small but mighty! Our expert team is dedicated to working with community members in the watershed to restore the health of Lake Simcoe one project at a time.

​​Manager, Restoration Services

Christa Sharp is the Manager, Restoration Services and has worked with the Authority for 15 years. She graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Christa is grateful to work with a fantastic team implementing restoration projects across the watershed. Her favourite part of the job is being able to work outside in nature. Christa and her family love the outdoors. They will often go on hikes and search for new species using the SEEK app.

​Restoration Project Specialist

​Lori McLean has over 15 years experience working for the Authority in many different capacities, including restoration, science & monitoring and communications. She graduated from the University of Guelph Bachelor of Science (Honours) with a major in Wildlife Biology and Minor in Environmental Studies. Her passion for animals and the environment started at a very young age. She enjoys working with schools and community groups and engaging with the public to promote the work implemented through the Authority's Restoration Funding Program.

​Restoration Project Manager

​Brook has been with the Authority for 19 years. In his time here he has had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both in the office and in the field making each day exciting and unique. As a graduate of the Seneca College Resource Management Technology program and a Certified Engineering Technologist. Brook brings a great deal of expertise to each of the projects he is involved in. The removal of the Scanlon creek reservoir restoring the creek back to its original location was one of his top five projects. On his time off he and his family enjoy going for hikes in the Lake Simcoe watershed and getting out on the lake both in the summer and winter.

​Restoration Project Specialist

​Peter Shuttleworth is a Restoration Project Specialist and has been working with the Authority since 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from University of Ottawa and a post-graduate certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College. Peter enjoys connecting with landowners to implement restoration efforts that benefit our watershed and feels a great sense of pride knowing that our work effects positive change. He is  an avid canoeist and tries to spend as much time outdoors as possible​.​

Construction Specialist

Bryan Widner joined the Authority in Spring of 2022 but has been working with different Conservation Authorities for over 9 years. He is a graduate of Brock University with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Geoscience. Bryan has always loved the outdoors and is excited to learn and implement new ways to benefit and enhance the natural world. In his spare time, he enjoys running, reading, and exploring the outdoors with his family.​
