With this restoration project we expanded the current wetland by adding 3 new wetland pockets. These wetland pockets, or vernal pools, will continue to help mitigate the effects of climate change and create new habitat for many species including those at risk.

In addition to the 400 native trees and shrubs planted in 2018, we seeded native wildflowers, additional trees, and shrubs, and - a first for us - created 3 new habitat mounds which will hopefully soon become home to species like bank swallows!
