Forestry

The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA) has acquired in excess of 1,420 hectares (3,509 acres) of land. More than half of these lands are wetland areas that meet provincial objectives for environmental protection. The remaining acquisitions consist of floodplain lands, ecologically senstive areas and lands suitable for recreation. All of these lands are subsequently utilized in the LSCRA's land management program, where they assist the LSCRA and area municipalities in meeting parkland and open space objectives.

Bulk Tree Seedling Order

If you own over 0.8 hectares (two acres) of property within the Lake Simcoe watershed, trees and shrubs are available at reasonable prices for you to plant on your property.
