Low Impact Development Training, Workshops & Events
Our qualified staff provide technical assistance and guidance on Low Impact Development (LID) techniques through coordinated training, workshops and events.
The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority works with other leaders in sustainability and funding partners to host training courses and workshops that offer an overview of Low Impact Development Technology.
Workshop Series (Low Impact Development)
Who should attend: Developers, Consultant Engineers & Municipal Planners
LSRCA coordinates workshops with municipalities in the Lake Simcoe watershed to engage them in discussions about Low Impact Development approaches to stormwater management. Municipal planners, engineers and operations staff will learn about the benefits and challenges of implementing LID and examine opportunities to incorporate LID projects in municipal capital development plans. If you work for a municipality in the Lake Simcoe watershed and would like to host a workshop, please contact Steve Auger.
Technical Training (Low Impact Development)
Who should attend: Developers, Land Use Planners & Engineers
LSRCA collaborates with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority and Credit Valley Conservation to provide technical training on the design and construction of LID features. Developers, land use planners and engineers with a moderate understanding of stormwater management will receive guidance on how to successfully complete LID projects: from desktop analysis, through design, construction, and maintenance. Courses are offered periodically. Future dates and direction on how to register will be available on this website as the information becomes available.
