Words in the Park

This themed hike is different from the usual science-based hikes offered at Scanlon. Students visit specific sites where poetry, prose and excerpts of novels and short stories are introduced. The readings are selected based on their connections to the locations chosen, as well as the weather and season. Students will find a spot along one of our trails where they will turn to nature for their inspiration to create their own poem or short prose.
