Winter Outdoor Digital Photo Workshop

When: Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Where: The Nature Centre, Scanlon Creek Conservation Area

Instructor: Peter Burtch, a retired Watershed Coordinator at Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, will teach you about light and camera settings, image composition, taking close-ups, landscapes and wildlife. This workshop is geared to those in the basic to intermediate level, bring a camera; a tripod would be an asset.

Cost: $40.00 per person including coffee and muffins at 9:00 a.m.

Payment: There will be a maximum of 20 participants and a minimum of 14 participants required to proceed with the workshop. The fee must be received by Monday, January 23.

Scanlon Creek Family Fun Day
Monday, February 20 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

For a great afternoon of winter activities, bring family and friends to Scanlon Creek Family Fun Day! Please meet in the Nature Centre parking lot at 1:00 p.m.

There will be two kick sled outings at 1:30 and 2:45 p.m; nature hikes at 1:30 and 2:45 p.m., snow shoeing, a scavenger hunt, games, and a bonfire. Indoors at the Nature Centre will be a children’s craft area and hot chocolate and cookies.

To help us maintain our programming, there will be a box set up in the Nature Centre with a recommended donation of $10.00 per family.
