Our Projects > Eastern Creek Naturalization Project

The Eastern Creek Naturalization Project is complete, and a 185-metre long section of Newmarket's Eastern Creek, adjacent to Southlake Regional Health Centre, has been restored and naturalized.

The restoration has helped to improve water quality, reduce erosion, create more habitat for fish and other wildlife, and create a more natural setting for hospital patients, visitors and local residents to enjoy.

The project is the result of one year of planning and consultation, and a significant collaborative effort between a number of partner organizations.

This project would not have been possible without the dedication and support of LSCF's donors. Thank You!
