"Protect Our Water!”

That was the cry from over fifty grade six students from Maple Leaf Public school on Friday September 28, 2007, when over 200 people gathered to launch the East Holland River clean up.

Together the Lake Simcoe Conservation Foundation, The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority and all the municipalities in York Region have invested in and/or pledged close to five million dollars to the restoration and protection of this amazing watercourse.

The celebration was an excellent start but is only the beginning. Over the next six years as the financial investment increases so will the amount of work that gets done to improve the quality of your water.

The East Holland Clean Up is a good start for a healthier Lake Simcoe!
